14” x 11” Original Watercolor Painting on Panel.
The town of Cripple Creek in Colorado is nestled in the high-mountain hills. Originally a gold rush town, it now entertains with plenty of casinos, a roaming herd of donkeys, and even a narrow-gauge train you can ride on. I love the view from the overlook above town, especially how the distant mountain ranges seem to unfold in layers, with the toothy Sangre de Cristos range against the sky.
This painting is sold unframed. It is wax-varnished, which means it can be framed like any oil painting.
Painted en plein air for Victor Celebrates the Arts 2026.
