No, unless marked otherwise in the product description. Unframed artwork ships more easily and at a lower cost, giving you the flexibility to frame it according to your space and style. I'm happy to provide assistance with framing, or take care of it for you if you wish. Just let me know!

How should I get the work framed?

Most watercolor paintings should be framed behind glass for protection. I am beginning to mount some of my works on panel and varnishing them with a special wax that removes the need for glass. Any works with this treatment will be noted as such in their description. A glassless frame (e.g., a "plein air frame", or a "floater frame", like what is used for oil paintings) will be a great way to display panel-mounted works.

A local professional framer can assess the piece size and recommend appropriate framing materials. They'll help you choose frame styles, matting, and glass options that complement your art and protect it long-term.

For a more budget-conscious option, many of my pieces are sized to fit standard, pre-made frames and mats that can be acquired at your local craft/hobby store or online.

Have a nonstandard-sized painting? Those same framers (and craft store framers) can usually cut a custom mat opening that will fit in a standard-sized frame. Please reach out to me with any questions you have here, I'm happy to provide guidance.

Is your work archival?
Yes. Archival means the materials and processes used are designed to resist fading, deterioration, and damage over time. Your artwork will maintain its color vibrancy and integrity for generations when properly cared for. I only use acid-free, archival quality paper and watercolor paints with the highest lightfastness ratings.

How should I care for the art?
Display your artwork away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid touching the surface of prints or paintings. Store unframed pieces flat in a cool, dry place if not on display.
